The Character Maker uses the Pathfinder® PRD ruleset to make Player Characters for use in the Pathfinder® roleplaying game. Choose a 3D Avatar, roll or buy attributes using a points system, add skills, feats, weapons and equipment. You can store several characters on your iPhone, and use it with your various gaming groups or campaigns. There will be more rulesets coming soon as updates. No longer will you need pencil and paper to keep track of “math” involved in making a character.
Along with the Character Creator, the HazzaH RPG Player’s Toolkit also includes a fully functional physics based dice roller. A realistic physics engine simulates dice tumbling, colliding, and rolling to a stop. Dice are flicked from the bottom of the screen onto the rolling surface, and results are totaled for all the dice which are active. It’s great for those moments when you need to roll a CRIT to take down that LV14 Kobold Monk of Doomsville.
Currently the HazzaH RPG Player’s Toolkit includes the Pathfinder® PRD rules. The app supports multiple rulesets, so that you can store character sheets from many different RPG systems. It provides context sensitive help for when you need to reference skills, feats, spells and more. We also added “No Rules”, which allows you to play with any system! Future rulesets will be released as updates – the first being the Genesys Universal Roleplaying Game Core Rules.
By using the included Pathfinder® PRD rules, users can create detailed character sheets. Skills and feats can be selected from a premade list, or custom ones typed in by the user. Background story and player notes can be added as well, so you can keep track of those NPC names you can never remember. Finally, class skills and spells can be chosen and modified.
Currently the HazzaH RPG Player’s Toolkit is a stand-alone application. However, we are developing a companion app on the iPad for GMs to manage and run games. When the iPad application releases, the HazzaH RPG Player’s Toolkit for iPhone will be updated to communicate with the iPad application free of charge. Bluetooth connectivity will allow you and up to five of your friends to connect to a GM’s iPad and play.
Instead of passing paper notes to the GM or other players and getting caught, the HazzaH RPG Player’s Toolkit will include a chat feature that will allow you send private messages to the GM, other players, any combination of players and the GM, or everyone. Stealing equipment, planning strategies, or ordering pizza now becomes a seamless activity.
In addition to sharing your character sheet with the GM and being able to chat, Gameplay mode allows players to control their minis on the GM’s iPad by using their iPhone as a remote. Using a 2D tactical map of the current game, players can see their character, other characters in the party, and the locations of NPCs. When its your turn, simply tap and drag your mini to where you want it to go. The iPad map is instantly updated with your character’s new position.
